Spruce up with Utica Square

So excited to finally be sharing this post with you! Our back patio is one of our favorite spaces in our home and I was thrilled to collaborate with Utica Square to spruce things up. If you’ve been following along for awhile you know how much Patrick and I love Utica Square and mainly because they are the hub for all our favorite home stores! We have for sure learned to use our resources here and love that were able to go in store to either see things in person or chat with someone about a concept we are trying to achieve especially when we’re not seeing eye to eye… Ha!

Sometimes hearing an opinion out of someone else’s mouth other then your spouses is received better… lol

To get started I knew I wanted to keep things simple, wanted it to be serene and inviting. We have had this West Elm outdoor table from our last house and added this Pottery Barn Torrey outdoor couch, ottoman and swivel chairs when we moved into this home.

Above is the photo I saw online that I originally loved the dusty pink color for pillows and how it contrasted with the greenery but when I went in store to purchase the items I was looking for I saw THESE Sunbrella pillows and fell in LOVE with this modern boho print. They were also on sale! Patrick loved this print too and felt like it flowed well from the inside of our home so I knew it was the perfect fit!

I also knew I needed a large tray for the ottoman space. I love the oversize of the ottoman for lounging and kicking your feet up on but the tray is exactly what we needed to set drinks and food on.

When I went in store to Pottery Barn Utica Square the sales associate Rebecca was super helpful and patient with my indecisiveness. She helped find things that were in the back and not out on the floor but also gave great suggestions when I couldn’t make up my mind.

Lanterns were one thing I for sure was a bit indecisive about. They have so many amazing options in store and I love the look of them all but ultimately chose this look for the simplicity and clean lines that add to that serene feel..

Also love them paired with these outdoor candles which Rebecca also helped me pick these out.

I also knew a wanted a cute faux plant and they have lots of great options to see in store. I love that their faux plants are so realistic! They had this one (also on sale!) paired with a cute pot in store but I remembered I had this planter and thought it complimented the whole vibe as well.

To add a little decor to the tray I have to have my favorite Anthropologie candles!

Another space I added the look of faux plants is on the dinning table and above the fireplace mantle by the TV. I love the clean simple look of these cute boxwoods from West Elm Utica Square.

Excited to live in this space all summer long and can’t wait to host a girls night in! Believe me the kids have already loved hanging out in this space especially when we set the bounce house up.. its nice for the adults to just hang out and chill while the kids go crazy! lol

To keep it simple spurcing up your outdoor space I think its great to focus on 3 things; Pillows, Plants and some simple decor such as lanterns, a tray & candles.
